I ran across a site that helps you plan fabulous parties. It’s called PartyBluPrints.com and they are experts at helping you plan and execute a party. What I like best are the checklists that help you plan ahead so you don’t forget anything. They talk about the necessity of having music (and suggest tunes) and flowers (to set the mood).
Here’s a great free guide to planning a 4th of July party right down to the red, white and blue flowers lining your porch. There’s also a link to amazing popsicle molds so you can make your own. I think they should make the party guides free but get sponsors for them. Then they’d be passed around.
Today at Walmart I noticed a lot of party favors and decorations. They had flags and other patriotic party favors and hats for a good price. To me, flowers make a party special, whether it’s for the hostess gift or on the table or porch. Right now is a beautiful time for flowers.
I recommend: Sweet Liberty from Internet Florist (picture at right).
I just saw Yahoo Answers asked this question: “what is your favorite online florist?”
I’d say, it depends on what you are looking for. If you just want flowers, there are some that are better. If you want funeral flowers, potted plants, or gifts with your flowers, there is another answer.
People say the top consideration for using an online florist is the price. I agree that’s important. But you don’t want to send the wrong message (I’m cheap). If I got a $20 bunch of daisies with little else, I wouldn’t be impressed. But guys, don’t overdo it either (unless you really want to send a message or you’ve been dating a long time or are married).
1-800 Flowers.com has the best online florist guarantee. They guarantee quality, freshness for 7 days, accuracy of described arrangements and delivery schedule. They are a little higher than going through a local florist, but you can trust them.
